A 17-year-old Des Plaines girl died Thursday night -- almost two months after a North Side crash where the car she was in was traveling in the wrong direction on Lake Shore Drive.
Paige Doughtery, 17, of 3121 Stillwell Dr. in Des Plaines, was involved in a Sept. 5 crash at 4500 N. Lake Shore Dr. and was pronounced dead at 11:35 p.m. Thursday at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office.
Doughtery was the passenger in a vehicle traveling in the wrong direction on Lake Shore Drive, authorities said.
An autopsy is scheduled for later Friday, the medical examiner’s office said.
The police Major Accident Investigation Unit is investigating.
