Investigators are trying to determine why three school buses crashed into each other while transporting students home Friday afternoon in Buffalo Grove, according to police Cpl. Anthony Goldstein.
He said there were no developments in the probe as of Saturday.
Ten students from Twin Groves Middle School and a driver suffered minor injuries in the chain-reaction collision. Children from Buffalo Grove and Long Grove attend Kildeer Countryside Elementary District 96's Twin Groves School, which handles grades six through eight.
First Student Inc. is contracted to handle District 96's busing. Cincinnati-based First Student spokeswoman Glenda Lamont did not return a message for comment over the weekend. District 96 board President Marc Tepper did not return telephone messages.
