Baltimore police have found and have interviewed the owner of a vehicle involved in a hit-and-run accident that resulted in the death of a Johns Hopkins University student from north suburban Wilmette, police said today.

Detective Donny Moses, a public information officer for the Baltimore Police Department, said this morning that the owner of the vehicle police believe was involved in the accident spoke with police investigators Monday night with his attorney. He was questioned and released.

Moses described the man, a 39-year-old from a Baltimore suburb, as a person of interest in the case but said no charges had been filed as of this morning.

The student, 20-year-old Miriam Frankl, was hit by a vehicle while crossing the street about 3:15 p.m. Friday afternoon; she died at 2:30 a.m. Saturday. Frankl was a junior molecular and cell biology major at Johns Hopkins.
